Gov. Mark Sanford famously told his Argentine lover that he was mad for her tan lines. But we've noticed a trend toward tan lines that are anything but sexy—a moon-pale, well-protected face atop a bronzed body, with a "tan line" at the neck.

The look seems especially pronounced in places like Miami, southern California, and the Mediterranean, where a certain amount of natural body tanning can be inevitible over time, but where women at least are wrinkle-phobic enough to cover their faces with SPF, hats, and big sunglasses. What's your opinion: Should these two-toners be fake-tanning their faces? Taking more scrupulous care of the area below the chin? Or should we just chill out and accept this weirdly guillotined look?
