Ouch! Dry, scaly feet and ingrown toenails are both ugly and unhealthy. I have a bag of tricks and a can't-live-without product that helps both.

My Kit
  • heavy duty cuticle clippers
  • a fine emory pad
  • a fluffy pair of socks
  • jar of Carmex

Ingrown toenails:
After a lazy soak in a bathtub, I use clippers to cut a small "V" in my toenails. I was told by a doctor, years ago, that this tiny cut would force my toenails to grow to the center and out of the corners. I have never had an ingrown toenail since. You can see this tiny cut in my photo.

Dry feet/skin: Touching raw veggies or even laundry detergent breaks my skin into weeping blisters. The topical ointments I use to clear this left my skin so rough and dry it sometimes cracked and bled. My miracle worker is Carmex. One application and it's much better -- three and it's gone. Carmex works on my feet too;. first, I buff with the emory pad then I rub it on and sleep in socks.

We all want pretty, healthy feet. This works for me - what do you do?
