Every celebrity hairstylist I talk to says that great hair starts in the shower -- a.k.a., if you use cheap shampoo and conditioner, you'll wind up with cheap-looking hair.

Now, don't get me wrong, cheap doesn't necessarily mean inexpensive. There are plenty of bargain products that work amazingly -- and more than a few high-end products that don't deliver despite the price. That's why we ( total beauty) put together the 10 worst conditioners, with both high and low end products. Check them out below and steer clear, unless you like that whole greasy, frizzy look (this celeb seems to, I wonder if she's using a product on this list?).

No. 10: Garnier Fructis Fortifying Curl & Shine Cream Conditioner, $2.99, rating: 5.7 (out of 10)

No. 9: Dove Advanced Care Conditioner, $4.75, rating: 5.6

No. 8: Aveda Blue Malva Color Conditioner, $17, rating: 5.5

No. 7: TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Conditioner, $10.95, rating: 5.4

No. 6: Lush Veganese, $8.75, rating: 5.4

No. 5: Alberto VO5 Silky Experiences Moisturizing Conditioner, $1.23, rating: 5.4

No. 4: Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-in Conditioner, $11.50, rating: 5.3

No. 3: Burt's Bees More Moisture Raspberry & Brazil Nut Conditioner, $5.98, rating: 5.2

No. 2: Jonathan Product Condition Leave-In, $22, rating: 5

No. 1: John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Light Reflecting Moisturizing Conditioner, $5.49, rating: 4.1
